To Love Wisdom
"Wisdom is a tricky thing. You can’t prescribe it. Wisdom
principles always require application tailored to a person’s
particular situation—no two lives or contexts are exactly the
same. That’s what makes wisdom so hard to reach: it’s about
knowledge, discernment, insight, and then action."
from the Intro to the "Walking with the Wise" series
Join us as we study the Scriptures, seeking to lead a life of wisdom. Our work focuses in particular on the Writings, the third part of the Hebrew Bible: Chronicles, Psalms, Job, Proverbs, Ruth, the Song of Songs, Ecclesiastes, Lamentations, Esther, Daniel, and Ezra-Nehemiah. It takes some pondering to understand how this collection of poems, narratives, and short proverbs fit together with each other and then in our own lives.

Passion Week
Passion Week guides readers through the most significant week of the Church calendar: Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. Each day pairs texts and reflections from the Old Testament with excerpts from the Gospel of Luke. Morning readings from the Old Testament paint a backdrop for evening readings; together, each day’s entries examine the meaning of Jesus’ words and suffering—His passion. With the disciples and the crowds, we seek to answer the all-important question: Who is this Jesus of Nazareth?
Passion Week is part of the "Readings for the Church Calendar" series.

Voices of the Sages: Old Testament Wisdom in Dialogue
Voices of the Sages delves into biblical wisdom by exploring Old Testament wisdom texts within the Hebrew Bible's Writings (Ketuvim). Imagine these texts as sages in dialogue, presenting insights, clarifications, and debates on topics like the fear of the Lord and the consequences of good and evil. In a fresh approach, this book examines how these writings interconnect, creating a dynamic converstion rooted in creation themes from Genesis 1-4: God's creative power, the two paths in the Garden, the folly of sin, and life's fleeting nature outside Eden. This perspective encourages readers to see biblical wisdom as a living dialogue, illuminating the path to understanding God and pursuing wisdom in life's complexities.
